We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.
For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.
Communication at St Finbar’s
At St Finbar’s Catholic Primary School Sans Souci, parents can stay in touch via fortnightly newsletters, Compass notifications, CareMonkey app for excursions, as well as emails, phone calls and our school website. Information about your child’s progress is communicated throughout the year and formally each semester via school reports. Teachers are also available to meet once an appointment has been organised.
Supporting students together
Our community is made up of students, teachers and parents. We are fortunate to have a generous parent body who consistently works with us to improve our school and the opportunities offered to our students. Our parent-representative group meets each term and coordinates fundraising activities, and social events and acts as a representative for the grade.
Our parent advisory group also meets termly and discusses significant long-term ideas and school development projects.
